  • Creating and preparing meals for our hotel’s own restaurant
  • Take responsibility for running your kitchen area
  • Daily checks on breakfast, lunch and evening buffets
  • Responsible and careful handling of food and tools
  • Incoming goods and goods checks, expert storage of goods (First In/First Out)
  • Daily checks of the storage rooms and ensuring clean and well ordered kitchen refrigeration
  • Creating the menus in collaboration with the head chef
  • Working out menu ideas and snacks for conferences and events
  • Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, refrigeration units and the storage rooms
  • Constant/daily quality checks and quality assurance in F&B area
  • Organising and running banquet events in collaboration with the head chef and service leader

Key qualifications:

  • Training as a hotel specialist, assistant or sufficient professional experience without training
  • Creating invoices
  • Health certificate

    • Allocating reservations independently
    • Independent mise en place in the workplace
  • Attentively serve and support guests
  • Manage the sink in the kitchen area independently
  • Setting up buffet and tidying up
  • Continuous checks on the buffet
  • Support in the kitchen area (e.g. set up plates)
  • Preparatory work and execution of orders
  • Preparation of beverages
  • Serving meals and beverages
  • Setting the tables before mealtimes
  • Preparation, providing support, holding and following-up conferences, group events, weddings and birthdays
  • Flawless knowledge of the hotel and the Oberhof area – continuous information about events
